Where to buy knit fabric online?
The most common question I get asked is where do I go to buy knit fabrics. People are always asking that in our Facebook Sewing Pattern Group - join us here! Especially since we have been releasing sewing patterns that use knits like our NEW Carolina Cap Sleeve Dress sewing pattern for Women, the NEW Women's Draped Tank pdf sewing pattern and our Women's Cowl Neck Tunic pdf sewing pattern .
I have compiled a list of some online fabric shops for you! Some of them I have used and others I continually hear great things about. In no particular order they are listed below!

1. CRAFTSY
Craftsy has a wide variety of fabrics at all price ranges. They offer cotton/lycra, ITY knit, rayon/spandex, rayon/lycra and more. You might like this floral print knit (3 yards for $16.87 *as of 3/11/2016), this navy ikat damask knit (2 yards for $11.27 *as of 3/11/2-16) - that would make a great maxi skirt or top or even this solid colored rayon knit (many colors available) - 2 yard cut for $11.48).

2. Peekaboo Fabric Shop (affiliate)
Many of you know Amy Hindman the owner/designer of Peekaboo Pattern Shop. She not only designs sewing patterns but also designs her own fabric line and carries designers such as Art Gallery, Birch Organics, Cloud 9 Fabrics, Monaluna, Michael Miller and her own line. She carries plenty of children's knits, swimwear and coordinates/solids, too. I recently ordered her Riley Blake Anchors Blue Knit fabric HERE and she shipped out the next day! The quality was great and I plan on making a dress for my daughter for Spring!

Fabric.com has a great selection of knit fabrics in name brands such as Riley Blake, Robert Kaufman, Art Gallery, Birch Organics, Liberty of London and many more! They offer jersey knit, ITY knit, cotton jersey, scuba knit, cotton/lycra and more.They also offer free shipping on orders over $35 to the lower 48 states.

Hawthorne Threads has an extensive collection of designer knit prints such as this Art Gallery knit, this Library Gardens Knit in light pink, this High Flown Knit by Art Gallery, or this Robert Kaufman Oval Knit in Steel.

I have ordered from them several times and have been very happy with them! My orders were received within a few days, too! I recommend you know about fabric weight when you order. Some fabrics I have received were more sheer and lightweight than I would have thought. But I recently ordered some scuba knit and loved the weight of it! They offer cotton lycra, french terry, cotton jersey, ponte de roma, hacci sweater and more!

6. Harts Fabric
Harts Fabric has a great variety of fabrics! They carry Bamboo Knit, Organic Cotton Knits, Sweater Knits, Modal Knit Fabric (so soft!!), Jersey Knit, Linen Knit and Swimwear.
Purple Seamstress Fabrics updates her facebook page weekly with new fabrics. She carries aztec prints, striped knit in cotton/lycra, and plenty of cotton/lycra solids.

JoAnn Fabrics has a good assortment of knits in solids and prints. They have coupons if you sign up for their mailer and they even honor coupons that you show them on your cell phone at checkout if you are in the store. Mood Fabrics has a very well stocked knit supply of high-quality fabrics. You can find all their KNITS HERE. They carry bamboo jersey knit, cotton jersey knit, jersey prints, matte jersey, modal knit, organic cotton knit ponte and more!

Raspberry Creek Fabrics carries their own line of Club Fabrics CLICK HERE that are 95% cotton/ 5 % spandex. They also carry Art Gallery and Riley Blake Knits. They also have a facebook group where customers share their clothes they make from their fabrics!
